Education Presentation: 2019 Energy Standards Lighting and Electrical Updates
This presentation will cover the 2019 Energy Standards lighting and electrical updates. This presentation will review how these requirements apply to newly constructed buildings, additions, and alterations. The focus will be a high-level review of the major changes for indoor and outdoor lighting, including lighting controls and lighting power.
Presenter: Daniel Wong, P.E., California Energy Commission
Daniel Wong, P.E. is a mechanical engineer in the California Energy Commission’s Outreach and Education Unit. He specializes in the lighting and electrical requirements and helps develop training, tools, and resources to assist stakeholders with the Energy Code. Daniel has been working in energy efficiency for 8 years performing research, evaluation, implementation, and outreach activities.
