About the Community

The Cape and Islands Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors welcomes you to our new website. Here you will find everything you will need to know regarding our section, its chapters/divisions, members, and the electrical industry.  The Cape & Islands Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors located in South Eastern Massachusetts serves Barnstable, Plymouth, Dukes, and Nantucket Counties. Membership includes both inspectors and installers. 

Meeting Information

Our meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday of each month excluding the months of June, July, August, and December at the Trowbridge Tavern & Ale House located at 100 Trowbridge Rd, Bourne, MA 02532. Announcements

April Our Guest Speaker” will be Jeff Sargent (NFPA). Those of you who know Jeff will agree that his presentations are always on the mark and of great interest. Jeff has offered to give us a preview of some of the changes proposed for the 2017 code. I am sure that his insight will be informative and interesting. Please tell your friend and invite them to our meeting. This will be great opportunity to promote the chapter, the IAEI.  Please invite a friend or two. Make plans to attend and we will see you there.


 

Cape and Island Chapter of the I.A.E.I

Presents 6 Hours of Mandatory Continuing Education in accordance with 237 CMR 17.01 for license renewal.

April 18, 2015 Course Starts at 7:30 AM (please pre-register)

Registration at the door starts at 6:30AM

Location; Trowbridge Tavern and Canal Room Bourne MA

License Renewal is near, July 31, 2016 comes quick.

The Cape and Islands Chapter of the IAEI Presents 6 clock hours of code for license renewal.

Take this opportunity to focus on the challenges of Standby Generator (Article 702), Load Calculations (Article 220), Services , new requirements for PV Installations, and Fundamentals of Grounding Electrical Systems (Article 250) to insure that your installation complies with the 2014 edition of 527 CMR 12.00 (the Massachusetts Electrical Code). Instructors include James Rogers Code Making Panel 4, William Laidler Code Making Panel 6, and Charles Palmieri Code Making Panel 5.

When: Saturday: April 18, 2015 starts at 7:30 AM ends at: 3:30 PM, at the Quality Inn, Bourne Ma. (located at the Bourne Rotary). Your cost for Pre-Registration is $80.00 per person, walk-ins $90.00. Registration includes a continental breakfast, lunch, a 6 - Hour MCE Certificate of Completion, and an IAEI CEU Certificate of Completion.
